Tight Turns -
Chris Zuchlag
With tight turns your body acts like a pendulum, swinging below you and
leaving marks in the snow that are tighter short turn marks. |
Chris Zuchlag |
The turn marks that are left in the snow resemble "C"
shape marks. When the "C" shape marks link together, you will continual
"S" shape marks.
Your upper body will be going straight down the fall line, while working
the board with your lower body.
|
Always keep your knees bent. Force your legs to extend out into your
turn. Let the board get to maximum edge and push on to make the edge hold. |
Bring the board up to you for the cross-under. Cross-under your upper
body for the opposite side extension. |
|
|
Push on the board when it gets extended out to make it hold the edge.
Repeat the cross-under to the other side. |
Remember that your body from the waist on down is doing the pendulum
swing, while your upper body continues down the fall line.
